Today we covered pure and condiional probabiity using the constructed venn diagrams from our homework. If the worksheet wasn't completed in class, then it becomes a homework assignment. The homework for tonight is the video for tomorrow's lesson - weighted trees. Please note: if you don't bring notes to class tomorrow, then you will not receive credit for the video no exceptions.

Today we began a new unit - Probability. The first probability model we discussed was Venn diagrams and spent time constructing 2 and 3-circle venn diagrams. For those absent, please view and copy the attached notes to complete the attached worksheet.
The first portion of class was spent on project presentations followed by 20 review of Unit 6 material as well as reviewing unit 6 test scores. Below are the solutions to Midterm Review for Unit 1:

Entire block spent on Life after College Project individual presentations followed by Q&A.
Today we completed and submitted Life after College Projects (due by 4:00). The unit test will be on Wednesday and therefore Tuesday will be spent reviewing and preparing. Below is the presentation schedule for all blocks - failure to present on your assigned date will automatically result in a loss of 30 points. No changes to the schedule will be made as of today.

Today we discussed the difference between buying and renting a house; with the calculations demonstrated on the blog last night. We proceeded to buy our "Dream House" as a class and applied the same concepts to the class worksheet. Please bring completed worksheet to class tomorrow for review. Today we completed our activity on buying and leasing a vehicle - we had a short debate on the based option based on a researched vehicle and solved for the best option. Each student received a worksheet to complete individual or with their peers the solutions are below. Absent????
